Ingham adds West Auckland Dealership to growing portfolio

Ingham Motor Group continues to move from strength to strength with the purchase of its latest dealership – Nissan West Auckland. Located in the busy retail hub of Lincoln Road, Henderson, the family-owned business recently acquired the boutique car yard.

While there are plans in place to further develop the site in the coming months, the first major changes will be enhancing the customer experience and rebranding the dealership under the Ingham umbrella – now to be named Ingham Nissan West Auckland.

Ingham’s Managing Director, Trent Ingham, is thrilled to add the popular dealership to the group’s growing portfolio.

“Ingham Nissan West Auckland aligns perfectly with our company’s focus on quality brands and service,” he says. “We have been actively looking for a Henderson-based site to complement our Nissan dealership on the North Shore, and we’re delighted that we can offer our customers two prime locations in the city.

“However, it’s also important that the business retains its West Auckland character, so we’re very pleased that a number of existing staff will remain to provide a sense of continuity for our customers”

Understanding the local community will be a cinch for Dealer Principal Jonathan Martin, who has a wealth of experience with the dealership, having previously managed the car yard from 2012 to 2018.

“It feels a bit like coming home,” says Jonathan, who will split his time between the West Auckland dealership and Ingham Nissan North Shore.

“Several of our Ingham Nissan staff based on the Shore will be working across both dealerships. And many of them live in the West Auckland area, so they are incredibly excited to have this opportunity on their doorstep.

“This includes our local Nissan expert, Lennie Kaipara, who will be the dealership’s new Branch Manager. Lennie has been involved in the automotive industry for over two decades, so we know our customers will be in very capable hands for all their Nissan needs.

Reflecting on his previous tenure at the dealership, Jonathan has many fond memories from the six years he spent there.
