Nissan Drives Inclusion: Supporting Emmanuel Kelly's Coldplay Tour Journey

22 April, 2025

Nissan Australia and New Zealand played a pivotal role in supporting differently abled artist Emmanuel Kelly during his performances as a supporting act for Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” world tour across Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland.

To facilitate with the transportation needs during the tour, Nissan provided him with Nissan X-TRAIL compact SUVs, ensuring seamless mobility between venues and engagements.

Emmanuel Kelly’s journey from a war-torn region to international stages is chronicled in his upcoming documentary, ‘Dream Fever’, segments of which were filmed during the tour. The documentary, executive produced by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, will be released alongside Kelly’s album of the same name.

In 2022, Kelly and Martin co-founded Outlyer Entertainment, a production company aiming to empower and authentically represent people with disabilities both on and off-screen. This initiative aligns with Nissan’s global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy, which focuses on creating an inclusive environment where everyone can maximize their potential regardless of background or ability.

Andrew Humberstone, Nissan Oceania’s Vice-President and Managing Director, stated, “Emmanuel’s journey shows the power of perseverance and is inspiring.”

At Nissan, we believe in creating opportunities and supporting individuals who break barriers. Emmanuel’s remarkable talent and determination perfectly align with our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

Kelly first gained international attention with his 2011 audition on X-Factor Australia, where his rendition of John Lennon’s “Imagine” captivated audiences. Since then, he has continued to break barriers in the music industry, using his platform to advocate for greater representation and diversity. Nissan’s support of Emmanuel Kelly during the Coldplay tour underscores the company’s commitment to supporting individuals who challenge norms and inspire change.
