IONIQ 5 N is the DriveLife 2024 Car of the Year

Impressive collection of accolades for the IONIQ 5 N.
The IONIQ 5 N, Hyundai’s first 100% electric sports car, has been announced as the DriveLife 2024 Car of the Year. This award adds to an already stacked trophy case for this revolutionary variant of the IONIQ 5 medium electric SUV.
The high-performance variant of the IONIQ 5 is capable of immense power of up to 478 kW whilst delivering zero driving emissions. Amongst its abilities, is the functionality to replicate an internal combustion performance car thanks to its N e-shift and N Active Sound features.
DriveLife motoring journalist Peter Whiting has the following to say about the IONIQ 5 N’s unique ability to combine medium SUV practicality, zero emission motoring partnered with supercar performance.

In addition to winning the 2024 Car of the Year award, the IONIQ 5 N was also awarded the Driver’s Car of the Year, due to setting a new bar for driving involvement for an electric vehicle.

Every person that has driven it has been amazed at what this vehicle is capable of. It’s absolutely no surprise the accolades it is receiving.’’
These awards add to what has been an impressive collection of accolades for the IONIQ 5 N. Since its release it has locally been awarded AA DRIVEN Sports/Performance Car of 2024 and Tarmac Life Most Thrilling Vehicle of 2024. Globally it has also won a plethora of awards including 2024 World Performance Car, Road & Track 2024 Performance EV of the Year and Car and Driver’s 2024 EV of the Year.
