Clean Car Discount 2023
How our range of new vehicles will reportedly be affected from 1 January 2024
From 31 December 2023, it has been reported that the Clean Car Discount will be removed from legislation. This means there will no longer be any rebates for low-emission vehicles or fees for high-emission vehicles.
The changes take effect soon and will impact all vehicles registered after January 1st. From our understanding, this means new vehicle owners can still claim a rebate, provided the eligible car is registered before the 31st of December. If you are on the fence about switching to an electric or low-emissions vehicle, this may be your last chance to qualify for a rebate.
While the Clean Car Scheme is a New Zealand Government administered programme and the rebates or fees are out of our control, we are committed to updating our customers on how their vehicle purchases may be impacted.
What does this mean for your next car purchase?

- Customers will no longer receive rebates on zero and low-emission vehicles.
